Nancy Ann Shaw
August 17th, 1949 - October 3rd, 2026
August 17th, 1949 - October 3rd, 2026
Nancy Ann Shaw, 77, of Cornish, Maine, passed away on October 3, 2026, after a long year of failing health. She was born on August 17, 1949, the beloved daughter of Gus Kuse and Marion Kuse.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. To know Nancy was to know how deeply she loved her children and grandchildren. Her family was her world, and she gave so much of herself to them throughout her life.
Nancy shared her life with her husband, Neil Shaw. Together, they explored a lot of places, and enjoyed their adventures. She was the proud mother of three children: her beloved son, Robert Dandeneau Jr., who passed away in 1999; her daughter, Diana Carr; and her son, Heath Dandeneau and his wife, Samantha.
Nancy was especially devoted to her grandchildren. She spent many years caring for them and was blessed to share a very close and special bond with each of them. She cherished the time she spent with them, and they knew without a doubt how much their grandmother loved them.
She leaves behind eight grandchildren: Robbie Dandeneau of Florida, Bryan Dandeneau of Florida, Roberta Dandeneau of Maine, Tyler Coleman of New Hampshire, Kayleigh Dandeneau of Connecticut, Mackenzie Carr of Arizona, Abigail Carr of Arizona, and Adrian Dandeneau of New Hampshire. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Lilly and Oliver.
Nancy worked for Strafford County Nursing Home and the Strafford County Jail until retiring in the mid-1990s. She spent much of her life caring for others, but there was no greater role to her than being a mom and grandmother.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Robert Dandeneau Jr., her sisters, Donna and Flo, and her pets whom she loved dearly, Muffin, Tasha, Emma, Gypsey and Petey. She is survived by her husband, Neil; her daughter, Diana; her son Heath and his wife, Samantha; her eight grandchildren; her great-grandchildren, Lilly and Oliver; her brother, Billy; her dog, Coco and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Nancy meant so much to all of us. She was a constant source of love, comfort, and family. Her absence will leave a space that can never truly be filled, but the love she gave us will remain in our hearts and in the memories we carry with us. She will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose life she touched.
There is one thing Nancy never did when saying goodbye. She never said “goodbye.” Instead, she would always say, “See ya!”
So, Mom, Grandma, and Nana, we won’t say goodbye.
We know you’ll just say…
“See ya!”
Until we meet again, you will be loved, missed, and remembered every single day. ❤️
At Nancy’s request, no services are planned. Her family will honor her memory privately and cherish the many years of love and memories she gave them.
